Hotel house

For some of us it's the upheaval that makes moving house unpleasant experience. Living amongst boxes while expecting you house to function as it always has can be frustrating so Hotel house may be a solution.

First, get everything you haven't used in the last six months in to boxes, then the last month, then the last week. This should leave you with just the essentials and have you half way to moving out. This includes any furniture you only use for entertaining that may reside in the "Good room" ( that room in your parents house that you only went in on special occasions. you may not have an entire room for this but there will at least be an area). Once this is done try and get this stuff out. ideally into your new home but at least in to the garage or stacked up in a room with some new cleared space.

Try to think of your home as a hotel room now. Don't cook, order delivery and stop doing laundry. You could even consolidate your bedroom, television and the fridge  in to one room for a more realistic effect. Have some fun with this and do some sight-seeing in nearby areas and reminisce about your time there.
Good luck with your hotel house.
